Re: BT Caller Display 30 not showing caller-id after Digital Voice upgrade

@Taffia

I believe you can still order a DVA free of charge, so nothing to lose in trying one.

Although unless your phone has a rotary dial, the REN isn't likely to be an issue as @licquorice said.

Re: BT Caller Display 30 not showing caller-id after Digital Voice upgrade

Odd caller-id behaviour continues.

After working fine on my upstairs extension (plugged into the SH2 green socket downstairs via the OR provided flying lead) since Jan 3rd, the phone on my upstairs extension no longer rings, even though the caller-id 30 box shows the number. I tried 17070 option 1, and there is no ringing, just the 0800-xxx-xxxx number. As soon as I pick up the phone I hear "Ringback complete".

BT have sent me an EE-branded DVA but that didn't work either until I googled problems with it and quite a few people have the same problem which is fixed by plugging a microfilter into the DVA and the phone into microfilter. Now it rings but when I insert the Caller-id 30 unit between microfilter and phone it shows "Invalid" instead of the incoming number.

If the DVA is anywhere near the SH2 there is pronounced buzzing overlaid on the dialling tone.

At this point I tought I would consider getting a BT DV handset but the option to view and buy DV phones on the BT/EE website does nothing. Have they given up selling these things ?.

Hi there @Taffia

Thanks for coming back to the community.

You can find details on the BT Home Phones | Corded & Cordless Phones shop page, or if you would like to discuss what would be best please give us a call and the team will be happy to help.

Re: BT Caller Display 30 not showing caller-id after Digital Voice upgrade

BT advanced digital home phone (the only one with a Caller-id display)

"Sorry this product is no longer available

We’re really sorry but we’ve sold out of this product and are unable to obtain more stock. In most cases this is usually because the manufacturer has discontinued the product. We don’t want you to miss out though so here’s some of our best selling products which are similar to what you are looking for. Take a look and you could just find the perfect item. Just a small point to note - they might not have the exact features as the product you initially wanted so please be sure to check the features before you buy."

Yesterday, just clicking on the icon to shop for DV phones did nothing. At least I got further this time.

Are there any 3rd party equivalents with all the same functionality ?

Unfortunately not, BT Digital Voice is proprietary.

Re: BT Caller Display 30 not showing caller-id after Digital Voice upgrade

Having looked at some of the one-star comments for the BT advanced digital home phone on the EE/BT website, maybe it is a good job that it is out of stock 😞

Hopefully they are rushing through development of a replacement that is an improvement.

Re: BT Caller Display 30 not showing caller-id after Digital Voice upgrade

Correct, I have one.
As mentioned elsewhere my DECT phones connected to the hub show 2 missed calls when there is only 1.
