Re: Digital switchover
You can't have BT Digital Voice with Sky broadband.
You were told that over a year ago.

Re: Digital switchover
When the BT replaces the analogue system in an area and goes over to digital voice will they just cut off the phone service to such customers?
Or will such customers be offered the same service (still being developed apparently) that BT plans to offer those with an analogue phone line and no broadband service at all?

Re: Digital switchover
Frankly I doubt the OP has a SMPF service at all, with BT billing them ( or his relative ) for line rental and Sky charging for broadband, Sky many years ago gave their SMPF customers an ultimatum, become Sky customer for both services or find a new provider so there are no Sky SMPF customers ….and given the same question has been asked by the OP several times , I suspect they don’t really know what the have , it’s not even their service but a relative, who may not quite understand what has happened in the past .
There may well be the oldniche ISP’s that still have SMPF where the customer pays two bills ( one to BT and one to the ISP ) but it will be a vanishingly small number and getting smaller, there are no suppliers of any scale that still consume SMPF products…..those customers that do exist on ISP that won’t be household names , will be at back if the queue for BT DV along with BT telephone only customers ( as far as BT are concerned they are the same group ) so eventually they will get a choice , take BT broadband with your BT telephone or leave and find a new provider

Re: Digital switchover
@Stevekill2 Sky do provide their own phone package, “Sky Talk”. You can take their broadband with or without the phone option. Presumably, you currently have just the broadband.
You could, of course, switch to BT or EE broadband but if you are sure you want to stick with Sky, it might be worth you asking on their forum how you can add the phone option & what it costs. I don’t post on there often myself, but I know from past experience that the regulars on there are just as knowledgeable as the ones on here.

Re: Digital switchover
If the OP doesn’t have Skytalk they don’t have a telephone service at all , you can’t have BT telephone on Sky MPF and as stated they don’t be a SMPF customer ,
TBH they can easily confirm, if they have dialtone call 150 , see who answers BT or Sky ,
