BT Smart Hub as a secondary router
Hi,
I successfully switched my BT Smart Hub (residential full fibre) for a non BT hub router, everything works as expected APART from the Phone, the wireless handset will not connect, so presumably the BT Smart Hub has to be connected. When I connect the new router to the WAN port of the BT Smart Hub and ensure the SH DCHP settings are turned off and there are no clashes on the .254 address on my network. But the SH is a) not connecting to the internet and b) not connecting to the BT wireless phone handset.
Does anyone have a similar setup working?
Many thanks

Re: BT Smart Hub as a secondary router
The Smart Hub 2 has to be the first device in the chain, and directly connected to the ONT. Nothing else will work for BT Digital Voice.

Re: BT Smart Hub as a secondary router
Are connecting a Lan port on your non-BT router to the Wan port on your BT router, if so I would not expect that to work. Try connecting Lan port to Lan port.

Re: BT Smart Hub as a secondary router
DV does not work unless the SH2 is the primary router connected to the ONT
