Hi,
I have just switched from BT using the BT Hub2 using a BT4600 phone. The voicemail function worked fine.
To Vodafone broadband using their router, the BT4600 plugs into the router directly using the RJ11 and the actual phone works fine. When you ring the landline number though it rings out and states you are unable to leave a message. I cant see any settings on the phone itself, literally just a button on the base station saying voicemail on or off. It is set to On but voicemail doesnt seem to kick in.
The only thing that appears to be different is the base station connected to the old BT router via a RJ11 to BT connector cable. Not RJ11 to RJ11.
Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks

if you have moved to Vodafone then BT are no longer providing your phone service as that should now be by vodafone so you need to contact vodafone your phone own answering system should still work
Thanks for the reply. Yes I rang Vodafone and they said they dont offer voicemail over the digital voice.
They said its purely down to my answer machine settings.
Doesnt seem to be any settings apart from on/off though.

Thank you. This didnt resolve the problem but pointed me in the right direction.
No idea how as the voicemail was working fine on the BT router. But seemingly as soon as the phone got unplugged it lost all the settings. So I just had to set it back to answer & record and not just answer only. Thanks for the advice.
