Bought this phone and subscribed to Voicemail but green button does not light up to alert you to messages. Spent ages on chat on Saturday and they gave me a number to ring on Monday to have the phone replaced.
Have tried to return the phone but spent hours yesterday getting sent from post to pillar with no success.
Bought the phone from BT website but actually it sent me to EE site to buy and pay for it.
Returns page does not tell you what to do with a phone only has provision for mobile and broadband.
BT send me to technical services, the number underneath the phone and ai returned there three times yesterday to the same girl who could not help.
Tried 150 and emailing. EE say I must have an SO number to return the phone. Order number on email from them has no SO anywhere.
Is there a simple fix for the green light to illuminate when a message is received?
Messages are getting through and the dialling tone changes but as this phone is for my 94 year old mother, she needs the visual alert.
i would be grateful for help.
According to P.14 of the manual, there's at least a two minute delay between leaving a message & the LED lighting. Could that be the issue?
If you still want to return, try this link. Sounds like you may be getting (understandably) mixed up between the EE Shop, which sells mobiles & broadband & the EE Store, which sells other hardware such as your phone.

The green light doesn’t light up after message received at any point unfortunately.
I followed the link you gave and found the returns page but then the account I set up yesterday didn’t recognise the email.
I bought the phone via BT but did end up on EE somehow to pay for it.
I am abandoning all hope of ever contacting anyone who can help at either BT or EE.
It’s not worth the hassle for a cheap phone but next time I will go elsewhere.

Do you have the batteries installed in the phone for the Voicemail light to work?

Does the email address you're trying to log in with match the original email you received confirming your order?
