What is "another BT home phone"

I'm on BT Fibre 100 with Halo 3 (not actually fibre to the house, but there you go ) and PAYG Landline

Just signed up for Vodafone Full Fibre 500 Plan and ticked a box to keep my number (don't really want a phone but they don't offer that as an option)

My  "Switching from BT" email says (amongst the expected stuff)

"We'll make these changes on 22 Jul 2025 and we'll keep billing you for these services:

  • another BT home phone"

 

Any idea what that means? I'm switching from them and the new Vodafone service will be digital voice so why on earth would BT keep billing me for something phone related. Am I being dumb? I dread trying to contact them to ask so I'm trying here first 🙂
