Nothing has changed but my 2 extensions have stopped working. Base still ok for incoming calls and making calls. I try to ring extension and it fails. If main phone calls the extension ones don’t. One of them comes up test and then flashes if you take it off cradle. Can’t go to menu as won’t let me
not had a problem in past, have found it reliable. As I work from home I am finding this very inconvenient.
any ideas please
Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Have you tried turning off the power to the base unit for about a minute?
No. I’ll try it
Possibly batteries. If you don't have replacement rechargeables to hand, try regular alkalines just to test. But don't put them on the charging base with alkalines installed.
Says handset not available when I try to ring from base phone.
Batteries were replaced a little while ago so pretty sure it’s not that
What happened when you turned the power off to the base for a minute?
All the lights went off then when I turned it back on it said wasn’t connected to base, then a message about power cut, then it synced itself. I had to check the time and date
Thanks, so it did not fix the problem.

The charging circuits in these phones are awful, so if the handsets are rarely used for extended periods or left off the charger, thee batteries are killed. Your call but I'd swap them for alkalines, just to test.
