Thanks Pete. The last call I had that didn't show up was end of October. But like you, I don't get that many. This month I've had 5 calls which have shown up on call protect app.
Thanks Swatty! We will all keep in touch still. I've just posted a couple of quick messages.
I should also add that, since moving to Digital Voice, as far as I can tell, all my incoming calls are being picked up by Call Protect and most of them are showing on the Caller Display as 'Nuisance?' which is useful as an indicator as to whether to answer.
I rarely do so anyway as no-one I know calls me on the landline now and I feel that the more times the spammers' calls go unanswered, the more chance there is that they will stop calling. Certainly I am getting far fewer spam calls now than a few months ago.
Whilst not necessarily connected with the issues we've been having, I tried to access Call Protect via the Browser on the PC and get no response from the system (fine for login and accessing other parts of MyBT). On my tablet I can access it all OK via the BT App. Just want top access the Block list and transfer some of the data to a spreadsheet on the PC.
On the real topic, all calls have been coming in correctly on both Caller Display and Call Protect
Hi Pete,
I've found the same problem trying to access Call Protect via the EE App on my PC. I can 'manage all the other bits of My EE such as Broadband and TV but not CP. It all works fine via the app on my mobile.
I also tried to access Call Protect by logging into my BT Account via the BT Web site. Clicking "Manage" button for Call Protect renders no response.
Have BT disabled it to avoid more issues being raised.
I don't use the BT App and do not intend to.
It works ok on the App, but I can't use the App on my PC (windows 7 and it's staying on the version as I use it to control some old equipment).
Really want the browser version to work. It was fine 10 days ago
Exactly the same. BT seem to have disabled the Call Protect menu on website! This whole sorry issue will have soon been dragging on a year.
Good News Guys.
I've found where BT is hiding access to Call Protect.
How to Access Call Protect via the BT web site
1. Logon to BT Website
2. Click Menu Option Your Security (it’s next to “Your products” )
3. Scroll down and you will see “Landline Security” Call Protect.
So, it here where you can manage CP.
The link "Manage Call Protect" which is also under Landline products, should either link to the same place as I've mentioned above or they should have a message that this link to Call Protect has been moved.
BT development team just don't get it. They need a QA team (quality assurance) to check that changes to live Web Sites actual are user friendly and work. Dead links should not happen.
Cheers
Great work Michael and thank you. As you say BT just don't seem to understand the basics of their own website. Great instructions and comments. Let's see if BT come back and comment on this. And look forward to Swatty's and Woodbridge Pete's messages!
