I'm totally missing something, how do I add a number to Call Protect through my BT account?

Call 0800 389 1572 to set it up. Then just rang 1572 to add the last number 

In my opinion it's pretty useless as scamers rarely use the same number twice.

Exactly, blacklisting is futile. The only way to block scammers is whitelisting.
