Hi all,
I understand from BT marketing info that their Digital Voice “includes Call Forwarding”. Does the word “includes” mean that with DV, diverted calls will be free of charge?
Currently, my BT analogue phone is on permanent Call Forwarding divert to my mobile phone, and for each call received to my landline I am charged (approx 23p per call) for the forwarding process All these calls are from numbers which I don’t recognise (scam/marketing calls), and so I don’t answer these calls. With DV, will these calls be free?
I suspect it will depend on the call plan you take , if on PAYG , if you made the calls yourself from your landline to your mobile they are chargable, so an incoming call to your landline diverted to your mobile would be chargeable, if you had Unlimited as your call plan , if you made a call from your landline to your mobile it’s ’included’ in the plan , so an incoming call diverted to your mobile would also be included
This may help. https://www.bt.com/help/landline/all-about-call-diversion-for-digital-voice
Thanks for the replies. The link answers my question as below:
”The Call Diversion service is free for Digital Voice customers.
Calls diverted to a BT mobile, BT Landlines or BT Digital Voice services are all free.
Calls to any other service will be charged at the standard rate for calls to that service. If these calls are available within any inclusive call package, they will be costed within it.”
As far as I am aware the Call Diversion SERVICE has always been free, and it’s the CALLS which I pay for. And so as I am not a BT mobile customer, looks like I will continue to pay. I need to check what BT landline call plan I am on
There are only 2 call plans PAYG or unlimited
