Re: Can I have just phone with BT?

Go to solution

Thank you, yep Starlink it is then.

I also don't really see the point of this forum, other than to berate people who ask perfectly genuine questions.

Not sure who berated whom, your initial question was answered , the subsequent opinion (not a question) about value is debatable, that’s why it was challenged, no one points a gun to your head to join BT , if the price becomes uncompetitive because of a customers inaction , either to negotiate or change provider to get better value , that’s their problem really , in that respect all ISP are the same , nothing unique about BT , plus in this case £89 for basic broadband is a price it’s difficult to accept as true , even if on a legacy deal on an out of contract basis , often when challenged to verify the price , the poster then disappears, presumably realising they incorrectly stating the price , as an example, someone on a quarterly bill paying £90 , is clearly wrong to suggest that’s the monthly charge , or someone with Halo , BTTV , or a inclusive calls plan or even a PAYG plan that makes many calls hence a £90 bill is wrong to suggest that £90 is the basic price …Obviously no one needs to feel obliged to prove anything , but if someone were paying £90 for basic broadband only , it’s not berating them to ask for a little evidence, what was the plan called and the last time it was renewed etc , otherwise the claim is often thought to be inaccurate.

TBH , this forum is customer to customer, generally it’s not BT staff answering , so all reply’s are just other BT customers opinions, which often are supplied a little undiplomatically.
