I would like to cancel my BT landline, however my phone is no longer working so I cannot call the BT cancellation 0800 number.
Can I do this online ? I can find nothing on the BT website.
No, it can only be done by phone. Do you not have a mobile?
do you currently have Broadband and phone contract with BT Retail? if so you cannot just cancel the phone part you need to start a new contract for broadband only
An old steam powered pay as you go...last resort 🙂
No ...just a regular BT landline contract
Do you have broadband from another provider, who is providing broadband over your line?
I cancelled my broadband with plusnet around a week ago.
sorry but how have you got internet and posting on forum if plusnet cancelled
"I cancelled my broadband with plusnet around a week ago."
So, if you have no broadband and a non-working landline, I guess you must have a mobile phone with internet access to be posting on this forum. In which case, why not use your mobile phone to call BT to cancel your landline?
If you cancelled Plusnet who were using your line to carry broadband, then that is why you lost your phone service, as the line has now been ceased, along with your phone service.
