Connecting BT1500 phone to broadband for switchover

Hi, I've just connected my BT1500 phone into my BT broadband router to see if it will work. It doesn't. I believe this phone us meant to work on a router. Currently it is connected to a Master Socket 5c alongside the broadband router connection that both connect in to the Master Socket 5c. If I leave the phone connected to the Master Socket 5c is it already WiFi connected? Does anyone have any help or ideas please? Thanks.

It won't work connected to your hub unless you have been converted to Digital Voice

Have you had confirmation that your BT Digital Voice service is now active?

You can also check the status by viewing the hub's configuration page: http://192.168.1.254/

Once the BT Digital Voice service is activated then you can replug your phone from the phone socket on your wall to the one on the back of the smart hub

Thanks for the replies. I can't see any mention of voice activation on the hub homepage. The phone icon has "not configured" next to it. Hybrid connect shows "not configured" as well. I've had the leaflet from BT sent to me twice about the switchover and how to connect the phone but no mention of a switchover date. I expected to see a date to be honest.

Yes, the "Not configured" means it's not working yet.  What you may find when the change does go through is that the hub will need restarting before it picks up the new settings.

It was well over 2 months between receiving my adapter and the switchover happening.  When it did happen, one Monday morning, it was all done in about 2 hours.
