Just had FTTP installed. Need a battery backup for power outages that covers both Digital Voice and Internet.
Purchased Cyberpower Back-up for BT Digital Voice service (FTTP) from BT shop. But as far as I can see this only provided backup power to the Openreach ONT and not the BT Hub 2 so will not actually keep Digital Voice running in event oof outage (as hub will have no power). Am I missing something? Does the ONT provide power to Hub2 over LAN or something? If not then this Cyberpower Back-up for BT Digital Voice does not do as advertised (keep digital voice and internet running in a power outage).
Very confused - any info greatly appreciated.

The ones BT offer come out the box to power one device so one would be for ONT and the other for the router/Smart Hub 2
Thanks so much for clarifying. It is, as this thread your link to suggests, a confusing mess.
BT Shop advertises one of thes models as FTTP and the other as Non-FTTP. Both suggest that they arer all required to keep Digital Voice active in the event of power failure, neither makes any mention of requiring both units, purchased individually, to acheive this - at a total cost of £178.
I guess a single standard UPS at half the price will do the job.

The Cyberpower BR700 will power multiple devices.
