No DV this morning on my Advanced handsets. No idea how long that was broken because even though they do handily light up to say there's no connection that goes off after a few minutes so not much use if you're sleeping or out of the room.
Maybe a good idea to update the handset so the screen never goes off to alert the user? Seems like common sense.
Unplugged router from mains and got a 'software update' message so done that.
All working now.
That's 4th or 5th time I've had no landline in less than 2 years but this time my analogue telephone (plugged into the SH2) worked perfectly fine incoming & outgoing). It may have been like that the last lost connections I'll check the next time.
There's a next time? 🤔
did you notice if your SH2 got a firmware update in last day or so as that may well have caused the problem
I'm not aware of any update on the SH2.
As I said the 'update software' popped up on the handset screen when I unplugged the power to the SH2. You can't get past the 'update software' screen either.
All functioning well now.
As always -for others to note- I quickly diverted my landline via this link https://my.bt.com/s/apps/appsvoicemanagement/#/calldivert?acckey=26330503&product=digitalvoice&redir... That at least allows for incoming calls to be diverted elsewhere.
if you go to hub manager then advanced settings then technical log information then you should see heading 'firmware updated' just below current firmware version
