I want to add an old BT 4600 handset to a new BT base station, but it is still registered to an old base station that is no longer available. Can anyone offer any help please.
Do the Registration or Reset options in the Settings menu help?
I cannot access the settings or reset as it is still trying to find the original base station - it just says no base link check base. Now the batteries have died so I'll have to try and get a new set.
I have now put new batteries in and tried to de-register from the settings menu but it won't as there is no base station to connect to. I have also tried to reset without success. I did also try to register to my new base station but again it would not work as the handset is still registered to the old base station. It looks as if I'm stuck with a perfectly good handset that has been rendered unusable.
