Sorry if this is a stupid question but I see from checking our so-called “order” for digital voice on the BT website that we have the option to defer activation to any day up to the end of November. Does this mean that the existing landline will continue to work until a later date or will it just not function until DV is activated?
Could do without the hassle of setting up (it’s complicated,but I’ll spare you the details!) before we go on holiday soon after the switchover

the @jac_95 reply is a standard preset reply when post is about DV as the same questions were getting posted over and over
what doe your order say in MYBT? does it give any options? are you just moving to DV or are you changing broadband package at same time?
