thank you for responding My current phone is BT 3110 but from my research, it seems that I can't pair this one to my hub or use the green socket in the back of the hub? I am looking at a BT/EE digital voice only phone that can be paired with my hub and will go that route if I have to.
Right, first of all if you wish to continue using your handset with the existing base, simply plug the base into the green socket on the hub.
This thread is about using your phones in a power cut. To do that you need to power your hub (and if you have FTTP, the ONT) by means if a UPS.
If you wish to connect your existing handsets directly to the hub without connecting the base to the hub green socket, re-register the handset from the 3110 base and register it to the hub by pressing the WPS button on the hub and following the instructions on page 37 of the manual linked below.
