Re: Digital Voice - 999 in power cuts

What’s your issue ( adjudicated to not actually be an issue ) got to do with BT Consumer, you appear not to be a BT customer , unless once told you were not welcome by your previous ISP , and given your marching orders , your intention is to join BT and make another vexatious claim ?

Re: Digital Voice - 999 in power cuts

No bad intentions - I was commenting on a previous posting in this forum which comes up when searching on the broader issue, but apologise if I went off-limits.

There is, in fact, relevance to BT in my dispute with my ISP: it serves to show that BT is behaving better than competitors on this issue.

The issue about "roamed" 999 calls not being returnable is not a BT-specific issue, but it does apply to BT customers: if you are aware that your roamed call won't be returnable (eg if an ambulance crew needs help finding your home, they wouldn't be able to get their control to call you for instructions) then it may change your view on whether you need a Battery Backup unit.
