Yes I have just had a mesg concerning Digital switch over and they are telling me my BB speed will be half it currently is. I'm not in a contract. 
I'm waiting to speak to them as of course there is a long queue, but like you I'll drop my Landline as it isn't used, but not my speed.

I've spoken to BT twice on this:

call 1 ) was told nothing would change with my broadband, I mentioned gfast and I don't think the rep understood what it was

call 2) the rep understood what was happening and cancelled the order. So for the time being my gfast connection will stay as it is

I'm now trying to decide whether to go to cerberusnetworks or filesanctuary to maintain my gfast connection

"say our sources" with contract ending in a month and they cant even acknowledge I was even on gfast i dont hold dmuch hope for this... i will no doubt be in another extortionate contract by then, that article was in May?

From reading some threads on the EE forum, it seems BT/EE won't support g.fast or sogfast from January because they're decommissioning the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) service on 31/01/27 and none of their (BT or EE) routers will support both sogfast and their new digital voice product, so they're moving everyone to SoGEA. 

I'm moving to file sanctuary so I can ensure I continue to get sogfast

I wish you luck but I've just tried half a dozen family addresses, up and down the country.  Not one of them has SOGFAST available.
