We had digital voice installed on 24 October but it was not working when the engineer left. He said it would take a few hours. It was still not working on 3 November and I rang BT to be told it was there problem because the migration papers had not been passed to the necessary department. I spent 4 and half hours with the live chat based in India yesterday and I was just passed from department to department with nothing happening apart from fob offs. Eventually someone rang from England on my wife's mobile and said there was a fault on the line and he had fixed it. He told us what to do and it worked for a few hours. The line was dead this morning and we still have this fault. We have not been able to contact anyone. I am 88 and my wife is 81 and we are both very vulnerable. How can BT leave the elderly like this. We may be old but we are not stupid. The engineer was a subcontractor and not very helpful at all. We believe that he has done a shoddy job but we cannot get another engineer to come and look at it. My wife has medical problems and is unable to contact anyone. She only has a basis mobile phone for emergencies. Can someone please help us a matter of urgency.

Hi @TonyOwens88
Thanks for the quick reply.
I've passed your details over to the team, following your reply to my private message.
I hope this is all sorted soon for you both.
Leanne.
Thank you. Today would be good as we cannot connect with GP Surgery and Hospital which is very urgent.
I understand and have asked the team to get in touch as soon as possible @TonyOwens88
Let us know how you get on after the team have contacted you.
Leanne.
Thanks please make it today
I hope someone can help you. I am a spring chicken of only early 60s and am also finding it all very stressful, something which people who are very familiar with technology probably find hard to understand. (My switchover is tomorrow IF it all works)

Why do folks blame age? Age has absolutely no relevance. I'm in my mid seventies but don't blame my age for being unable to tune a piano, it's because I have no interest in understanding how to tune a piano.
