Digital Voicemail

Hello,

I am looking for a way to turn off the voicemail part.

I have tried 15710, this takes me to the feature I wish to turn off, yet there is no option to turn off.

I have tried contact us and am taken into a rabbit hole of questions and not being able to type.

I have tried mange services and calling features, which then takes me to an order page. Going through and allowing me to change to cancel all features. I am then moved to a page to confirm and this is what I see "I agree to the terms and conditions and would like my contract to start as soon as possible."

I am not looking for a new contract, I just wish to turn of the voicemail to my landline.

Why is this an issue? The issue is people who call me when I am out, will leave a voicemail and think they have contacted me. Where as, if they do not have that option and do not have someone answer the phone, they will either call back or write to me.

Already cheesed off with the digital switch, as I had everything ready for switch and then on the day, I had no extension for few days, as this was not mentioned at all in any information sent to me.

Why is BT making this option to turn off voicemail so hard?

Please note, if I could login and check messages online, this would be acceptable. Yet again, this is not an option.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Re: Digital Voicemail

dialling 15710 should automatically disable voicemail.

Re: Digital Voicemail

I have tried the Cancel Call Features and when you click through the prompts and arrive at the last page you have to check a box that confirms the order. Part of this is, "I agree to the terms and conditions and would like my contract to start as soon as possible". I am not looking to start a new contract.
