I currently have a Broadband contract that includes rental of £2.15 a month for a landline. I don’t use the landline but was told I still needed to pay for a landline. I’m due to move to digital voice on Feb 10. Does this mean I no longer have to have a landline and can remove my landline from my contract?

Digital Voice IS a landline.
If you no longer wish to have a landline you can have broadband without a landline but cancelling your landline will also cease your broadband and invoke a new 2 year contract to reinstate.
Your choice if £2.15/m saving is worth the hassle.
Thanks for the quick reply. I agree the saving is not worth 2 yr contract but it is annoying given BT can change my contract without penalties!!!
your contract is not changing and you will still have broadband and phone capabilities and all that is changing is how your received your home phone calls
Ceasing a landline causing the cease of the broadband service has been a bone of contention since broadband without telephony was introduced.
BT, however, remain steadfastly deaf to making any changes.
