Ex Directory but appear in BT Phonebook ???

HI ,

I have been ex directory for years but noticed that my Residential listing appears in the local edition of the Phonebook.

I rang 0800 800 150 , there was no option for such an enquiry but the lady I spoke to said she could check and confirmed I was XD but that she would tick all listings but I would have thought being registered with BT ensured an entry would not appear in a BT Phonebook !

Can anyone advise how this may have happened and who I could contact to be totally reassured this wont happen again , it seems like a data breach to me  !

I am sorry that your number has appeared in the BT Phonebook. We will need to go over your historic and recent orders to see when you were on a Published listing and when you moved to Ex-Directory. Thanks Daniel , I was given a contact number  for Directories by one of your Moderator colleagues ( Neil ) , they referred me to a  mail address for the BT Directories Soltion Data Team !

A lady called me and assured me I would not appear in the next Phonebook edition.

I am still not sure how  I came to be on the directory listing but whats done is done and should be ok going forward
