Ex-Directory query

Hi - my relative has an Ex-Directory landline number. I have entered this number into the Safe number list on my BT8500 landline system which also has the Call Blocker system on it. However, although I can call them with no issues, I find that they are unable to call me. Is there any way of sorting this or will I always have to call them~?

Ex directory isn't relevant to this, that just means the number wouldn't be listed in the phone book.

Are they possibly withholding their number?

What happens when they dial you?
