Handset 3 not ringing

I have a BT8610 digital cordless set of three phones installed  in January 2018. Base 3 is not ringing. I’ve checked that the “Do not disturb “ function is off and the ringing volume is set at high.

 Given the set is 8 years old, could this issue be caused by the rechargeable batteries.

We'll certainly do our best to help out here. 

Does the display on base 3 show any error messages or unusual icons?
Can base 3 make outgoing calls OK with no issues? Is it just incoming that seems to be the problem?

It could be possible that it's linked to the batteries, but have you noticed the battery indicator showing as low or not holding charge?
