A car drove into the BT telephone pole carrying our phone landline on the evening of Wednesday 15 feb23.. police involved. Next day Thursday 16 feb open reach engineers came to saw down half shattered pole and make e ose overstretched and broken telephone lines safe.
since then and we are on Saturday 4 March the updates have been varied, mostly in days, no mention of working days, so no idea of when.
I phoned on a mobile last week to hurry things along, something about all will be fixed on 8 March, but today Saturday I am given 5 days. It’s just so frustrating. I have a sick husband who no way could use a mobile phone, and if I am out of the house he can’t get hold of me in an emergency.
why can a simple line mend take so long? The man on phone said something about a junction exchange box in a local village as an excuse
Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.
The only BT Employees are the forum moderators.
I assume you are a BT Retail Customer?
Unfortunately it can take quite a while for Openreach to replace a damaged pole which would be serving customers of multiple providers.
You can ask for a free divert of incoming calls to a mobile phone.
