Landline

Go to solution

Hello, If I make a call to a UK number that is abroad will I get charged as I have heard that I will get charged the standard rate and the person reciving the call will get a roaming charge, but I have spoken with the other persons provider and apparently they get no charge and it is the person making the call. Now i'm a bit confused so could you tell me if I get charged or the person on the other end.

Hi @felixb welcome to the community, if you call a UK mobile that is abroad it costs the same as calling them if they were in the UK. The person who is abroad will have to pay any roaming charges for answering if they are applicable. Some mobile providers don't apply roaming charges when the call is answered in the EU.

Thanks

Neil
