Moving telephone line

Go to solution

Hello!

We have just moved onto a piece of land to build a house. The house next to us is connected to a BT line that goes across the front of our plot which makes it very difficult for deliveries of materials etc due to this 'low' hanging cable.

I have spent ages looking through BT/Openreach's website but cannot find any information on making the cable higher, or relocating the cable totally.

The cable has about 1.5-2m to the top of the pole, so there is potential to simply move the cable to the top of the pole - but not sure what our options would be here.

Any help would be appreciated!

This type of work isn’t free of charge , clearly if the work you are doing wasn’t being done the network wouldn’t need altering, the cost obviously depends on what’s required to move the equipment out of your way .
