Re: Neighbours landline not working

Hi there @TNB1630

Thanks for coming to the community to get help for your neighbours landline.

Has this been reported to our technical support guides? If so, have they advised what the problem could be?

Hope to hear back from you soon.

Leanne.

Re: Neighbours landline not working

I wasn’t able to get onto any sites.
She is 92 and vulnerable needs the landline for her home alert bracelet .
Why can’t I just speak to someone at BT ?

Hi @TNB1630

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm really keen to get your neighbour some help, to do this I've sent you a private message to your community inbox. If you could take a look and get back to me that would be great.

Leanne.

Re: Neighbours landline not working

The phone number I posted was to report phone fault and you were going to speak to BT but obviously you have not tried

Re: Neighbours landline not working

I'm actually amazed at how much trust there appears to be on this forum. Literally anyone can create a post claiming they have a vulnerable neighbour with a faulty landline. Anyone heard of cuckooing?

So, assuming the OP has a relationship with the vulnerable person, are BT going to speak to them? Or are they going to require to speak to the vulnerable 92 year old to check that there really is a problem? Power of Attorney anyone? Family members? Why is this being raised by a 'neighbour'?
