Re: New Digital hub and handset

My guess it that somehow you have de-registered the handset from its base, which is what @licquorice is asking.

I would make sure the phone still works to its own base unit.

Then factory reset the home hub, then simply plug the phone into the green socket again.

There are 2 things going on here.

Is Digital Voice actually enabled or not, which the status in the hub will reveal.

The handset is not registered to the base station.

I am at the start point that there is most likely a user error with that user being me but I am not sure where to put that right.

Hybrid connect status is "not configured".  Where am I looking?

If the phone symbol that you have edited out is your phone number, it confirms Digital Voice is enabled.

The problem would therefore appear to be one of registering the handset to the base station.

Do not try to register the handsets to the hub.

Forget about the home hub for now, even unplug the phone base unit from it. Make sure the phone is powered up.

Then look at the handset, does it say not registered, or is it simply saying "line cord error" or something similar.

Its possible you have accidentally de-registered it, and will need to look at the manual to find out how to register it again.

Thank you. The phone has been connected to power for over a week and I had time to connect it to the hub today so thought I would try.

There is only one option to register the handset and that is via the dashboard on the hub - that is where I tried but the handset screen does not move from "searching".

@chriso57

If you go to page 56 of the phone manual that explains how to register/de-register handset to the base.

you should not be registering the handset to the hub.  once handset registered to base (NOT HUB) then just connect the phone base to the green socket on back of hub

Thank you.  I have followed the steps to register the handset to the base and it comes up "failed".

The base is plugged in with mains power on and has been for over a week and the handset is fully charged.

Re: New Digital hub and handset

Have you tried resetting the handset base unit?

Did it ever work, perhaps its faulty?

I would suggest speaking to the product helpdesk, if you cannot get it registered.

Until you get the handset working to the base, there is nothing else you can do.

If you have another phone, then plug that into the home hub instead.
