Hi, can anyone please help, I am asking on behalf of my 87 year old father in law. We have just recontracted his broadband and phone service, and he has now switched to the digital voice service. I have installed the digital voice adaptor and plugged my father in laws cordless phones into the adaptor, which are the BT4000 Twin, they work fine for incoming and outgoing calls but now he doesn't get caller display when that worked fine before the switch. The phone display just says incoming call. I have been on My BT and switched caller display off and back on again but still no caller display. My father in law relies on the caller display to know when family members call. Can someone please sort this out for him. Many thanks in advance Nigel.

Caller display is not enabled by default on BT Digital Voice. It has to be added via MyBT.

There was also a reported issue where it did not work via the DV adapter, for some phones.
Try plugging the base unit into the phone socket on the back of the hub, and see if it works.
Hi @Keith_Beddoe thanks for the quick response, I have been onto My BT and caller display was already ticked so I switched it off and then switched it back on but it's still not working.
See my last post, there was a reported issue with the DV adapter.
Try plugging the base unit into the phone socket on the back of the hub, and see if it works.
Sorry, I just seen the end of your post. I have just tried plugging the phone directly into the hub, but still no caller display.
Dial *#234# from the phone, and see what it says.
If it says its not enabled the dial *234#
Hi, which ever code I use it says you have entered the feature code incorrectly.
They were the codes for PSTN, perhaps they do not work on DV. Need someone with DV to try the codes.
Perhaps another forum member with DV can try them?
I am also not sure hew long any change of facility would take. On PSTN it would take 24 hours, but I would expect DV to be quicker. The CLI is sent as an audible data burst at the start of ringing. I would expect this to be generated at the home hub end, as tones sent over VOIP, do not work reliably.
It may be worth restarting the home hub.
