Re: Not able to receive all incoming calls

Hi @AlfTupper, sorry you're not receiving all your calls since the move over to Digital Voice.

Have you spoken with the FTTP team today and do you have a fault currently open for this problem?

Cheers

John

Re: Not able to receive all incoming calls

I have spoken to two BT representatives using the helpline number. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week I spoke to someone at BT for over an hour each morning where he went through a number of checks. At this stage he was able to actually connect to my DV phone. On the Friday he asked me to do a factory reset on my Hub. Still no joy, at which point I never heard from him again and he subsequently closed my fault. I phoned the help line again on Monday and spoke to someone on your help desk. After explaining my problem, her response was I'll just refer the problem to my supervisor. That was the last I heard from her. That's twice I was abandoned, they just didn't know what to do next.

Hi @AlfTupper, thanks for the update and I'm sorry that you're getting nowhere with this when you call.

I've sent you a Private Message so you can get in touch with the Mod team and we'll be happy to lend a hand in helping you get this fixed.

Cheers

John

Re: Not able to receive all incoming calls

Thank you for your advice. That's where we started. My old phone was unable to receive all incoming calls. The phone was connected into the hub, still could not receive all incoming calls. Checks were carried out both at there end and at my end setting the hub back to factory settings. I still wasn't able to receive all incoming calls. BT sent Digital Voice phone, still experiencing the same problem.

Yes. But what? I asked them to explain how that was possible and they couldn't explain it!

Just to keep you aware of further developments. Over the last 24hrs I have had 6 mobiles and two landlines ring my home phone. The results are follows: Two mobiles can connect everytime both on BT network. Two mobiles can connect sometimes they are on O2, two mobiles never connect and they are on Three. One landline (works phone transferred to DV) always connects, the other landline (not DV) never connects.

Digital voice problem.... and I thought I was alone.

It's become quite a palava really. All worked well until I was advised to get a little box to plug in. Since then calling out is often ok ... but no clear improvement whatsoever.

Incoming? A farce. Pick up, put down, pick up the other. Ringing. Not ringing. Hello... hello... can you hear me.... can't hear you...I'll ... they've hung up!

I spend too much time with this, builders, the electric company, SWW water outage, and other stuff.

All we need is a system which works in exchange for the monthly payment. If I failed to comply with my side of the contract , what then?

John

I have the same issue with my Digital phone as @AlfTupper . I have been in contact with several people at BT and have a complaint open which does not seem to be getting dealt with. It now seems impossible to actually speak to anyone as it seems it all gets diverted to a messaging service. The latest message suggests that all should now be okay (which it isn't) and if they don't hear from me within 14 days they will close my complaint !! I am very disappointed with BT's lack of action on this. Can you help ?

@ColNor53

I suspect that you may need to increase the number of rings before 1571 intercepts the call. I am sure another forum member can help with this.

BT Call Protect can also intercept certain calls and send them to voicemail, depending on your call protect settings.

No. The problem is that some of my family and friend can't get connected to our landline from their mobile phones at all. My daughter, who is on EE, can get through with no problems. My son (who is on GiffGaff), and myfriend (who is on 3), just get a message saying ' Invalid number'.
