Strange that it doesn’t go through if you use an 02 line. Maybe that means there’s still a chance it can be retrieved for you, I do hope so. Fingers crossed BT sort it out but if you still have the inclination & energy keep on top of them.
Hi @Annie70
Yes that’s definitely a strange one, so all calls from EE lines go through but other networks do not.
I received an update last night via text stating they managed to renumber the order so hopefully it’s working in the next few days, they did promise a callback yet again so hopefully this time it goes through fingers crossed. Not really keeping my hopes up as it’s failed 8 times already since May.

Hi @Annie70 and all,
Just a quick update! It’s all working!
After all that since around March till today I am well relieved!
They used a different approach this time but unfortunately the person dealing with it initially was no longer available so it automatically closed the case and took longer but another representative took over and honestly was absolutely fantastic in making sure the number was ported properly with regular updates and constantly checking to see if everything was going smooth.
Thanks for the tip on who to contact @Annie70 I honestly wouldn’t be in this position with my original number if it wasn’t for your help, so thank you!
Oh that’s brilliant. So glad it’s finally sorted for you. Patience is a virtue! Thanks for letting me know 👍
i have the same problem Not able to receive all incoming calls nearly 4 days no one able to get through, experiencing a number not recognise and beeping
@karim is that with your old or new number? They usually say the new number can take up to 10 days for it to transfer, I waited until they sent me an email saying it’s all clear.
I ported my existing phone number with me.
I had the same problem, I had digital voice for about a month and was receiving some calls. I discovered from some callers trying to contact me that they were getting just a dead line or an 'invalid number sign'. I discovered that landline calls could get through but the only mobile network that connected was EE/BT. BT seem to have rectified this, although I haven't checked all networks. I did not discover this for almost 4 weeks, so I suggest that you ask contacts on different mobile networks to ring you. It is beginning to look like this is quite common.
