Just renewed my broadband and telephone contract but BT have moved me to EE , broadbands working fine , but they have put me on digital voice keeping my existing number .
However i can make calls fine and my number shows correctly on the persons phone , but when you try ringing the house phone number the phone does not ring ,the person ringing gets a ringing sound like normal ,its just the house phone does not ring so you don't know someone's ringing.
If i plug the phone back in the old analogue socket then it works fine for both outgoing and incoming calls
Any ideas ?
Thank you
As you are now an EE customer, you need to post on the EE forum https://community.ee.co.uk/
EE are a separate company within the BT Group.
Thanks
my new order is showing on my BT account and my broadband and phone are showing on there too
So technically i'm still with BT
Even though EE have sent new equipment with my old BT account number
Do you have the EE router, or the BT Smart Hub 2?
They sent the EE smart hub plus , even though i asked for the BT smart hub 2
Also under hub settings for phone it shows my number and says Status - service ready
You would have to ask on the EE forum. I assume that the EE router has a phone socket on the back where you would plug your phone in.
I am sure you will get some advice on that forum.
Things are a total mess at the moment.
Yes phone plugged into phone socket on Hub , ive posted same question in the EE forums so lets see
thanks for help
It sounds like the number porting is incomplete.
Unfortunately incoming calls on DV seem to give lots of issues, which does not surprise me at all, considering all of the possible incoming paths.
ok thank you
What i have noticed is even though on the Hub it says service ready , yesterday under service registration it had a time and date , but now it says N/A so maybe they are doing something remotely with the move like you said
