Re-setting up Voicemail

Not a question just an observation.

BT has just installed a new digital voice 1571 voicemail system, and I've had to re-record my personal greeting, reset the number of rings before the voicemail answers, and reset my PIN.

I suspect everyone with DV will need to do the same. It's bit irritating because, apart from an email sent to me about a month ago, there has been no publicity nearer the time when this requirement came into force - which is over the last few days as far as I can tell.

I'm not sure why I've been directed to DV FAQs.
I'm perfectly happy with my DV service which is working just fine.
I just thought it would be good to warn people with DV that they need to reset it up following BTs change to the 1571 system.

I suspect they are rolling this out slowly.
When I went on to 1571 today, my original outgoing message had disappeared, the PIN I had set up when I first went to DV was no longer valid, and the high number of rings I had set up before voicemail answers had reverted to the default medium. The menu "voice" was also a different "person".
This wasn't a total surprise to me because I'd received an email from BT about a month ago warning me that this would happen and I would need to set it all up again. It only took me a few minutes to do this so no big deal.
But I can't imagine this is just something that BT has made me do and that it won't be rolled out to all DV users.
