You're not wasting peoples time it is just that normally people post on their own ISPs forum so that they can get direct advice about the relevant ISP problems, process etc.
What exactly is it that you want removed by Openreach. Is it internal to your house or external?
If it is internal all the wring sockets etc other than the Master Socket are your own responsibility and you can remove them your self.
If it is the Master Socket, while it is the property of Openreach they do not normally remove them after FTTP has been installed. If you have a read through this thread you will see that is is safe for you to remove it your self and Openreach will not come knocking on your door for doing that.
If it is removal of external wiring Openreach need to do that although they generally will not do that as a matter of routine.
You should contact Openreach using this form Changing our existing network | Openreach
Go to the section "How to Contact Us" and select the form. Fill it out as a "New" order.
