I realise why the outgoing sms text alert service from my system is not working now it’s using VOIP.
BUT BT should have a Badged BT working product that will enable text alerts to be sent.. If it can receive text and covert to voice on the answer phone, then it proves that SMS TEXTS can be handled digitally without issue.. the only issue is that BT has made a decision not to progress a solution.. the current solution is not a solution, is a statement..
I worked for BT emerging technologies and solutions… to me this is worth spending time with the handset companies to give back what could be a life saving feature. I had used this feature prior to changeover, I receive an alert from someone who really needed my attention…
