I've just received a Smart Hub 2 without a new Broadband cable or Microfilter or instruction leaflet. My switchover date is Wed 25 October to DV. How do i get hold of these missing items which I need before Wednesday?
deleted by poster, as really a DV changeover issue.
Hi @ljm The existing broadband cable should be the same as your existing cable. You don't need a microfilter with DV.
If you're currently using a BT Hub then @VeteranISPUser is correct. If you're using a third party router there's a chance the cable won't work.
I do need a microfilter as I only have a wall socket with one port. Whilst I can use the old microfilter and broadband cable, my point is I should have received a new filter and cable with my new Hub 2.
Please can someone help me, as having difficulty getting Hub Manager page. When I enter 192.168.1.254 it takes me to a page which says 403 Forbidden then underneath it says Illegal Filename. Or after using a Google search I got the Hub Manager but all of it greyed out except a white box saying Hybrid Connect Status:Not Congured (and the phone box which of course I expected to be white,as I don't switchover to DV til next Wednesday)
I have done a Factory Reset but still I can't access the Hub Manager via the above??
It's not greyed out, that's the Hub2 colour scheme.
Access might be a browser problem as the address is http rather than Https and it might object thinking it is a security problem.
You don't get replacement cables when you already have the required cable and filter to connect the SH2
Thanks for replying.
The only way I can reach bt hub manager is via 192.168.1.254/home.htm. Is this OK?
Also, why does one of the boxes on hub manager say Hybrid Connect:Status not Configured. What is this?
Also when I click on the Broadband page of Hub Manager and go to Internet it says FTTP toggle ON when I only have FTTC so shall I toggle it to OFF?
Sorry to bug you with all these questions and thanks for your help.
if you have FTTC not FTTP then toggle off and it just makes router port 4 Lan and not WAN which is needed for FTTP
Presumably you don't have halo 3+ and hence a hybrid connect device. Therefore it will be shown as not configured in the hub manager.
