Re: Switching off router at night = no phone!

And let’s not forget the Northern Lights which also emit radiation!

I once sold an earthing rod and 20 metres of 10mm green/yellow earth cable so the adult offspring of the customer could ‘Earth’ themselves at night whilst they slept!

Plus the power of something like that drops off as an inverse square law, so if you are 10m away the received power is only 1/100 of what it is next to it.

Re: Switching off router at night = no phone!

I agree. In our 90 minute power cut the night before a DV switch the other week landline did not work and then this week the internet was down only for 30 seconds which happens most days and I picked up the DV and no phone of course either. It is basically less resilience and more dependence on one thing.  I suppose I could do smoke signals from the roof or  use carrier pigeon or charge the mobile....

Re: Switching off router at night = no phone!

Interesting that the individual that started this thread has not reacted to any of the posts. It isn't rocket science realising the utter futility of navigating life attempting avoidance of WiFi and any other forms of radio waves that are constantly filtering through one's body on a daily basis. It's basically, impossible.

Switching off your router at night is literally almost entirely pointless. Unless of course one is so tight about the cost of the minimal amount of electricity that a router consumes overnight or the router owner is worried about others being up all night using the WiFi from the router when they should be sleeping.
