VOIP phone supplied by BT

I have just been switched to VIOP.  Has anyone got any details about the phone that I was given.

There are no markings on the phone.

Re: VOIP phone supplied by BT

I thought BT had stopped giving away phones some time ago. Probably best to post a pic.

Re: VOIP phone supplied by BT

What details are you looking for?

Just poke around in the various settings to see what you can find. You need to register it to the hub first of all.

Re: VOIP phone supplied by BT

OK, so to be pedantic, BT don't provide VOIP phones to residential customers, only business. Residential phones/service is Digital Voice. So are you a business customer?

If not, compare what you have with these.

There will be downloadbale manuals available when you click through to the one you have.

I am not a business customer.  BT gave me a phone when they switched me to VOIP.

I will try the link you sent, thanks

Re: VOIP phone supplied by BT

Do you mean that BT switched you to Digital Voice, which is not the same as the VOIP phone service offered by other providers?
If that's the case you can plug any "landline" phone into the green socket at the back of your Smarthub 2.
You can also pair a DECT phone (if that's what you've been given) with your SH2 wirelessly. In the absence of printed instructions just look up the model number online to see the pairing instructions.
