What is max distance of telephone cable on old home telephone to router for D voice

I asume that you mean the cable attached to the old phone is the max length that you can connect to plug into the router/hub. I want to connect phone from other side of room using an extension t/phone canle to router/hub. Is theire a restriction in length or is it suck and see.

There probably is but I very much doubt you will exceed it within a domestic property.

There is no ‘difference’ between running an extension cable from the DV socket or running an extension socket from a NTE5 master socket when on PSTN , ( and connecting a phone in that extension socket ) , it’s extremely unlikely that in a residential setting that you could have a cable that is so long that it won’t work , but if you did have that situation , it wouldn’t work for PSTN or DV .

As far as what is the exact length this is likely to be , who knows, but it’s not going to be exceeded  so it doesn’t matter if it’s 500 metres , 1000 metres , or 5000 metres.
