Re: Why does an engineer need to visit the property for digital voice?

Hi @tolkien

Thanks for posting and providing this feedback for the letter you have received.

I have passed this information to the relevant team to get the Digital Voice correspondence looked into.

Leanne.

Re: Why does an engineer need to visit the property for digital voice?

Hello @tolkien

I had same correspondence as yourself, also with no FTTP install. When the Engineer arrived he brought a new "Digital Phone" which I was not sure would allow me to use the Extension in my Bedroom (it saves me getting up and going to the Lounge every call) so I simply unplugged my Phone from Skirting Board and into the Green Socket on back of Router, tested it and seemed to work including Extension as before. He left the "new" Phone with me so I could change to it if any problems, but everything as been fine,as before.

Now,I'm 75 years old and with dreaded Halo3 (mis-sold but that's another Story) and wonder if the Engineer Visit was a "Benefit" of that.

Re: Why does an engineer need to visit the property for digital voice?

this is nothing to do with full fibre install this is BT

i had this for weeks only after this was hamdled bt mod here was this solved

live chat do not take any notice they just tell you this has been changed when it hasent

if you dont have amything that depends on a line line such as medical pendant you should be fine

Re: Why does an engineer need to visit the property for digital voice?

this isnt downto  full fibre install its very rare that o actully is anf how fo i know this because this is not avalible here either

this is  to BT assuming that a either everybody needs help or has a medical device thay needs upsating telling the live chat system you dont need help and you dont have a medical device dosent work you got to contact them directly

i was even advised to setup an appoint then cancel it something that i was willing to do incase this made things worse
