Hello,
With Digital voice coming I wish to update my very old analogue phones to digital. My current BT Hub is a 2000 version of Super hub 2 with no phone input socket. How do I get a more modern BT Hub with a phone socket, please tell me who to contact ? I am locked out continuously from My BT, have waited many times over the stated trying period, many times. thanks.

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
Digital Voice has been threatened for all of us but as yet, speaking for myself, it hasn't come materialised because I don't contact BT unless for faults.. What are you currently using for your Broadband, ADSL I assume? I f you contact BT, by any means to upgrade your Broadband you will automatically be put onto Fibre Broadband if it's available in your area.
For all I know, you might already have FTTC rather than FTTP and any upgrade would mean that BT will send you their latest hub with the green phone socket on it for DV and this BT hub was the Smart Hub 2.
You can use your existing phone/s with the new SH2 but you can also buy DV phones from BT
Why are you not able to not able to get into My BT?
The expects here will clarify my rather muddled response, I expect.

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
I'm still on copper/FTTC/VDSL but when I was moved, about 18 months ago, BT sent me a hub a few days before. It needs to be connected for them to set DV up so they have to send it out before.

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
Many thanks. We keep getting information from BT so I was trying to get prepared for their installation of their new system. I know I have an old super Hub 2, but it does not have a green phone port. Will the one they supply before their Digital Voice becomes operational be an more modern Superhub 2 with a green input phone hub?. I do not have fibre, only the landline.
BT information although considerable does not have much real detail, hence my use of the CommuniSo many people I know in the Kent area have had major phone problems after Digital Voice was operational, some have been pushed around BT contacts, and one contradicts the other. Even digital phones have been ordered and paid for , but never arrived.ty site.
I hav no idea why I cannot access MY BT, is there somebody I can message or talk to?

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
Although I wrote "solved" to my queries, I would still like an answer to the type of Super Hub 2 I will get from BT prior to their Digital Voice coming in.
I still cannot get into my BT even changing my email address and reregistering as a new user.
Therefore answers are still very welcome.

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
you will get the standard SH2 needed for digital voice with green phone socket. ethernet port 4 will double as a WAN/LAN so ready if you get FTTP

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
If you get a Smart Hub from BT, which you will it will be one suitable for DV. Why would they send you anything else. If you look on Amazon, as I did you can see plenty of SH2's for sale and it is easy to see which ones have that green phone socket on the back - that's where I got mine from in order to familiarise myself with it. However, I expect BT to send me a new one if and when we go over to Fibre and DV.

Re: With Digital voice coming need an updated Super Hub 2 but how
As I said in my previous post, they will send you one a few days before. It’s a “Smart Hub 2” by the way, not a Super Hub.
As I understand it, there have been 2 or 3 incarnations of the SH2. I believe the very early ones did not have the phone port, so you may have one of those. If so, BT will know and send another one.
As someone else said, you can actually buy them cheap off Amazon. (About £38 when I bought one). Just make sure you get one with a phone port (and an FTTP port, if you are already on full fibre/FTTP). No reason why you should, of course, unless you are interested. I have one as a spare and I switch them over when a firmware update comes out, so I know both work fine with DV.
