landline with bluetooth to hearing aid

I have a elderly relative that has only a landline (no broadband, no mobile). He has a hearing impairment so finds it almost impossible to use his landline. He recently received a new hearing aid which is bluetooth enabled. I tested this by pairing it to my mobile and it worked very well. Is there a landline telephone available that can be set to use bluetooth to connect to his hearing aid ?

Re: landline with bluetooth to hearing aid

Thanks imjolly,

I have done a google search as suggested and there are a lot of options thrown up.  It's not very clear when I look into the spec of various phones if they will perform the function I am looking for.  Some say bluetooth can be used to copy address lists / connect to router etc but none say they will use bluetooth to connect to a hearing aid for conversation.

I am hoping that someone can let me know of a landline phone that they have set up successfully to a hearing aid using bluetooth.

Cheers

Re: landline with bluetooth to hearing aid

I contacted various charities relating to hearing difficulties and RNID referred me to a company  connevans.co.uk who are specialist suppliers for equipment to help the hard of hearing.  They have done tests on various landlines which will connect using bluetooth however they cannot recommend a landline phone as they have not found one that works to a high enough standard.
I have instead arranged for my relative to have a mobile which connects to his hearing aid via bluetooth and the results are very good.
