5ghz band not working?

Hi everyone,

Hope you can help before I report yet another fault to BT.

Currently on full fibre 100,get 140+ download speeds regularly when everything is working as it should.

A couple of days ago everyone in the house,4 persons,started moaning that devices were running slower.

Did a speed test 48 hrs ago and speeds had dropped to 60-65 which our previous FTTC was producing.

Checked the Smarthub2 homepage and all 15 devices were connected to 2.4ghz band.

2days later there is still not one device connected to the 5ghz band.

Rebooted hub several times but still the same.

Any idea why this is happening,is it a faulty hub as this is the third one in a year which we’ve had for 5 months.

Have you tried a factory reset of the hub by pressing the recessed button on back and holding 20/30 secs until lights flash and see if you now get 5ghz network

Imjolly,thanks haven’t tried that but will do tomorrow as it’s a bit late and report back.
