Re: BT Hub 3 Wifi Extender Availability

@Crimliar , @Kimberlin  - apologies for the  late response.  Thanks for both suggestions - I ended up going for a combination of the two.

The Orbi is running in AP mode...after a few teething problems, it's been 100% reliable.  I'm also looking at replacing the BT modem/router with something with a bit more functionality so I have a bit more flexibility going forwards.

Thanks again for your help!

Re: BT Hub 3 Wifi Extender Availability

Apart from having to ditch your landline (which may not be important) , the downside of not using a BT supplied router is that, if you experience any trouble with your Openreach line to your house, BT will not take action unless you are using one of their routers. So you do need to keep your BT router and its power supply available so you can connect it to your line before you seek support from BT.
