I have just started a new full fibre service and wondering if the supplied BT Smart Hub 2 will allow me to add ddns details and open a specific port? I can't seem to find much technical info about the BT device.
If this is not possible and I decide to continue with the TP-Link router that worked well with the previous ISP, how do I find my BT account details?
Mike.
There are a limited number of ddns providers that can be configured on the smart hub 2. Yes, port forwarding can be configured. All are accessible via advanced settings.
The PPPoE credentials for third party routers are generic and gave been posted countless times on the forum.

Just be aware that you must use the SH2 if you are getting Digital Voice. It is a proprietary system and only works through the SH2.
Noted, thanks fortunately not using digital voice.
