Broadband Signal Booster

I have BT Broadband Fibre 1. I don't get a signal in one room. I want a signal booster. But I'm not sure what one to get. Is it BT Whole Home Wi-Fi? And how is it setup? Does it have to be wired to the router?

Thanks

Re: Broadband Signal Booster

@cj1967

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

This would be the simplest solution.

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa4220-kit/

About £40.

Normal wireless extenders are not usually any good.

Re: Broadband Signal Booster

Where does the TL-WPA4220 booster go? Is it wired into the router? Or does it go in the room without the signal?

Any reason the BT WiFi discs aren't any good?

Re: Broadband Signal Booster

If you look at the diagram at the link, you will see how these devices work

They basically convert your mains wiring into an Ethernet cable.

They come as a pair, one connects to your router with a short Ethernet cable, the other can be sited anywhere with a mains socket and provides both Ethernet sockets and a WiFi hotspot signal
