Broadband speed goes slower for bigger files or doing Speedtest one after anther

Hi,

I have seen that since connecting to BT when I ping bbc.co.uk or google etc pings do not always get a replay.

this gets worse when you are pinging and speed testing at the same time.

I would get if the pings are slower due to the Speedtest, however when there is big blocks of no replays... I am using just one laptop on the network cable.

I have tried more than one router and computer. BT is saying its due to things not being up to date like my computers even though they are. or at the other end. but if I do the same thing with my phone hot spotting pings work all the time.

Try pinging local devices on your network.

Do you have a VPN running? If so try disabling it.

Hi, thanks for your replay. All pings local continue fine when doing tests etc. no I don’t have vpn.
